I'm designing an ECG machine, and I wish to multiplex the lead inputs in the very beginning (or maybe just after 1 amplifier stage) in order to save resources.
I wanted to know if there's any 8 in 1 mux available which I can use to multiplex such low power signals?? I was looking into sn74hc151, but hav very less idea, so as what parameter values I should be lookin for.
thankyou Zuisti!! for ur prompt nd useful reply! I'm kinda shaky about analog electronics! can CD4051 sense extremely low power signals of the order of microamperes nd mV?? please help me decipher the datasheet!!
Hi;
Yes, the 4051 can do that, too.
Nevertheless, I suggest that you also wrote: "just after 1 amplifier stage".
This gives more stable results, it will be less sensitive to the parameters of
the multiplexer.
And ... there are many more modern analog multiplexer ICs already, search it on
the net via Google (also for the datasheets).
Hey,
thanks! I'll add a amplifier stage and plus look for cost effective analog mux ics will post a solution on the thread for future references for others...
