Any ideas on how to make a low cost voltage stabiliser.
The output should be around 230v for household purpose.

You need mains 220V voltage stabilizator ?

You need uC/IC for voltage metering, relays to switch specific transformer tap, autotransformer, case, PCB, ....

Its hard to be low cost, but why not to try.

Check existing EDABoard threads.

Check this stabilizator with LM324 IC :

how about this. digital stabiliz.JPG need to understand this circuit.how it's work..thanks

Better ask authot of that circuit to explain how his firmware works and circuit.

In general voltage stabilization, monitor mains voltage over smaller transformer or direct with voltage divider using ADC on uC, and according to measured voltage uC switch corresponding tap on autotransformer.

You can find more mains voltage stabilization circuits, just search EDABoard existing threads.
