Hi friends,
for my application I need to control 5 motors each with an independent PWM.
Can someone suggest a microprocessor with at least 5 PWM outputs + USART + ADC ?
thx

In my oppinion you can use SX family CPU from Sc*enix (w*w.ubicom.com) 100MIPS, and with virtual ph*eripherial you could implement all you wish!... and is cheap...
Depending of the "horse power (mips)" you need you could use PIC or Sc*enix and use software PWM (or use the channels implemented in the chips and ports + software PWM for the others). Depending of the power you need to drive the motors you can use hybrid H bridge IC that simplify your harware design.
thx, but I don't know if software PWM's
will work. Pic have 2 PWMs, so I should
implement other 3. Should I use interrupt
timers ? So I need 3 timers .... Don't know.
suggestions ?
I've to drive 3A DC motors, so I was thinking
to H-bridge IC like allegro 3959.
IGBT works only for AC motors ? or not ?
thx

BTW, someone knows tutorial on motor driving ?
