Why not start one here?
I think it would be interesting!

motor control forum?

I agree with solvarg ... Nowsaday most of the modern motor drives are controlled electronically, and therefore, should be related to this forum.

Re: motor control forum?

Yeah it may be. Or more generally power electronics section can be opened. But i mentioned about a more specific forum. I mean, a forum where we can find specialists. We benefit much from elektroda but i think there is not enough people(also not enough really experienced people) whose interest is motors or power electronics. A more general forum that may cover these subjects is industrial forum. But even that forum is not active enough. But may be with starting a new forum related to those subjects, it may be active and usefull enough in time.

Re: motor control forum?

Hi

Why is it not possible to discuss motor control and automation in "Industrial, Robotics and Automatics Forum" ??

I agree upon there haven't been many questions or discussions in this forum but the reason is mainly that most members have no or little interest in this field (perhaps).

By discussion and asking/answering questions here people see that they can get help and perhaps you even get more people interested in this interesting field.

It is my personal opinnion that with too many subforums it is hard to administer and also find information.

If you keep your discussion in one topic (if same subject offcourse) I guess it will soon be filled with interesting discussions.

Seems there is already three interested members here already,

Re: motor control forum?

If you have a particular task in mind for a DC motor & can't get it right i bet somebody on thin forum can give the right advice.

i think cluricaun is right and go by him... it becomes really very difficult to keep the forum upto the expectations and the work will be tremendous.. (thou i havnt moderated any of the forums yet..  ) its obvious but.. everyone would know.. the amount of materials beng uploaded / day... its also increasing tremendously.. i think there must some sort of a statistical approach some one must do in predicting the bandwidth requirement and other details... that the board must provide for maintainin these valuable informaton and other information that are yet to coime... that would really be interesing...

regards,
arunmit168.

PS: btw, why is this not in the "General Forum"????
