Hi cosmox,
Even I am interested in things like that! Would you like to share ur work
here???
Following book is available here in ebooks upload/download section ...
B. Parhami, Computer Arithmetic - Algorithms and Hardware Design
This one will be helpful to you.
K. Hwang, Computer Arithmetic: Principles, Architecture,
and Design. New York: Wiley, 1979 This one is another good one!!
For bit-slice design following is the best book!
Bit-Slice Design: Controllers and ALUs
by Donnamaie E. White
You can read this online here
https://www10.dacafe.com/book/parse_book.php?article=BITSLICE/BIT_CHAP_1/bitslcIb.html
Most of the bit slice chips used in book are from AMD and are now out of production.
But you can get verilog core of same from the net.
Best you start designing with FPGA than using individual TTL chips!
