log amplifier design

I have to design a log amplifier with input range 1pA - 10mA. Is there any commercial IC available which can be direcltly used. Or if any one having a reference design please let me know.

Re: Log Amplifier Design

Burr-brown LOG100 works from 1na with a dynamic range of 6 decades. My requirements start from 1 pA with a range of 9 decades.

Re: Log Amplifier Design

Every log converter has a dynamic range of x decades.
You need 10 decades (1pA-10mA) and such a commercial component does not exist until now.

Re: Log Amplifier Design

Hi Robin Hood,

If no commercial part available, can you suggest me any circuit reference to build one myself?
