DC DC converter cost
I am about month in search for cost effective dc dc converter. Despite promising advertisment from companies, there is no cheap ceramic multilayer X5R or similar capacitors to replace low ESR high ripple current electrolythic (that almost equal to dc dc chip price ). At least this report could describe little bit better :

As overall system cost is limited , i am interrrested to know best cost solution fro dc dc converters especially component combination dc-dc controller chip, boosting switch(optional) and capcitor(s) for 3.3 and 5 V 2 A step down voltage regulator .
BTW loweest cost for low ESR was found from Samwa (hope name is right ) about 20 cents .
