Hi ALL!

Altera announced ByteBlasterII (**broken link removed**).
Somebody has circuit and schematic?

What is the difference between ByteBlaster and ByteBlasterII?

ByteBlasterII work from 1.8 to 5 Volt device.. Read Datasheet.

BYTEBLASTER-MV for 3.3v to 5v device programming.
 

ByteBlasterII can configure Cyclone devices. That is the main difference between ByteBlasterII and ByteBlasterMV
 

Cyclone devices can also be programmed using ByteBlasterII provided you have QuartusII V2.2
 

I've built a byteblaterMV some years ago, following altera schematics.
The only chip was a 74hc244. Now I wonder if the byteblaster II
can be built simply replacing the 74HC244 with a SN74ALVC244DW
which can be powered with voltages as low as 1.8 volts.
Any help ?

ByteBlasterII need more signal pins on 10-pin header for program EPCS or config Cyclone.
So it is not ONLY replace 74HC244 with 1.5v devices.
Altera FAE said they had released the SCH of ByteblasterII onto Website.But I can't found it now.
