Hi I am looking for an IC which converts 5 v to 3.3 v. Any suggestions?

Re: 5v to 3.3v

A voltage regulator? An undirectional driver? A bidirectional driver?

Re: 5v to 3.3v

I'm guessing you want to convert digital signal levels from ttl to 3.3V?

I have to do this all the time, the two best solutions are a 16244 line driver - just power it of 3.3V and it will output 3.3V signals driven from 5V signals. You'll only get around 4mA per line though.
The other alternative is to use an open collector buffer, where you can drive the any currwnt you want (up to the device limit), by choosing the appropriate pull up resistor.

Cheers,

Nick

5v to 3.3v

Construct a simple voltage converter using an Amp Op and some resistors.

Re: 5v to 3.3v

Hi Nick

I will need a source of about 50mA.

Thanks

Re: 5v to 3.3v

Hi

I am using a computer power supply as my project testing & running power supply.
I modify it for my use.

Here also 3.3V a output available which I use fairly only to lit some LED.

It is a good source of 3.3V.

5v to 3.3v

National Semi, LTC, TI, and Maxim all have bunches of low-dropout voltage regulators (LDO's). Packages range from TO-220 down to SOT-23 and smaller. Or, you could use a single resistor and a zener diode, but low-voltage zeners are not very stable.

Dear friend Sadegh.j
I can help you. The IC nUmber

MC33269DT

I don't use it but you can try.
I also add a pdf file with some schematic on conversion 5v to 3.3v

Re: 5v to 3.3v

there are many companies to purchase a LDO regulator

Re: 5v to 3.3v

Maybe this is useful.
