Edge Detect Circuit

Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to design an control circuit for an RF reciever I am using. I need a simple circuit that outputs a pulse when an edge (positive or negative) is detected. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

Cheers
Shinji

Re: Edge Detect Circuit

Use an exclusive OR gate. Put your signal directly to one input and through a RC circuit (to produce a delay, series R shunt C with a time constant of about the pulse width time you want) to the other input. You will get an output of the XOR gate that is as wide as the delay through the RC.

Re: Edge Detect Circuit

simple diffrentiator d/dt will work for you...design some high pass filter.
