28 v to 24v regulator

Hello,
I need a regulator that has the specifications below:

1)if Vin>25V Vout=24V
2)if Vin<25V Vout=Vin

if you could help it would be very appreciated.
Best regards,

Edit:
3)the load current is about 4 amp.

24V Regulator

What's the range of Vin?

Re: 24V Regulator

14<Vin<28V

So: for 14<Vin<25, Vout=Vin
for 25<Vin<28, Vout=24V
i have tried to do it using 7824 but it only works as
for Vin>27V, Vout=24V

Yes. "7824" is a linear regulator. To work properly, it needs certain amount of voltage difference between input voltage and output voltage.

Re: 24V Regulator

unfortunately,
i have searched it, too.
for 14<Vin<28, Vout=24 and I=4Amp; Maximum Switch Current is too high

isn't there a way as simple as 7824?

24V Regulator

Why did you say the maximum switch current is too 'high'? If I'm not mistaken, you need to supply a 4A load, right?

LM1084 is a low-dropout linear voltage regulator. In order to get 24V output, the minimum input voltage must be (24V + 1.3V) or above.

Pls update.

if you click the "click to show why other parts were not found" button in;

you can see the your recommended IC(LM3478) is not suitable for me.

Yes. You're right. I didn't note that the '5A' is the maximum current rating of the switch.
