live keyboard input

i need to control my quad copter through matlab i have following problems
1. how to take live input from key board(in 'input' enter key has to be pressed after entering desired key i dont want it )

chk this link in mathworks https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/7465-getkey.
Load the function getkey() into Matlab Current folder and try.
