Hello
It's possible to build a linear amplifier for VHF TV transmitter with one or two 2N3866 transistor ?
How can I proceed ?
And it's possible to use a class C amplifier for VHF/UHF TV transmitter ?
It's possible to build a VHF transmitter amplifier with 2N3866 but the output power will be around 0.5-1W max. to my experience. So, output power is not very practical and sufficient being as "transmitter".But it's theoritically possible..
TV transmitter amplifiers are always A-class power amplifiers for analog broadcasting signals.Other classes are not used because of nonlinearity issues.
how can I see, in electric diagramm, if stage amplifier is linear or class C amplifier
example, in this video Tx schematic, the 2N4427 (équivalent to 2N3866) is working on class A amplifier or not ? **broken link removed**
Or in this linear amplifier schematic https://radiofrequencyamplifier.blogspot.com/2011/08/2w-vhf-linear-amplifier-circuit.html
2N4427 is really wotking on linear mode ?

You should check the Operating Point of the transistor to see the class of the amplifier.
I suggest you to buy a ready to use VHF power amplifier because designing and implementing RF power amplifiers need some fundamental RF design knowledge.
