licensing da_ic with flexlm

When I run the lmgrd, it seems to work correctly (lmstat return that's up)
But when I run da_ic I have the problem that
" Fail
License request for icarch feature failed (from: Core/licensing/MGLC_run 03)
License request for Design Architect-IC failed"

Do somone know what is the problem??

hi,

try to check the license query for da_ic with mgls_ok command, if it fails then your problem probably will be the license file.

Licenses are case sensitive for this vendor
Started mgcld (intenet tcp_port 32778 pid 3623)

So Ithink that's OK for mgcld.

hi,
when lmgrd first starts it types on the screen that it successfully ran mgcld daemon.
Also you can check for the lmgrd and mgcld processees using ps -A command.
Both of them must be up and running to get a working license.

It seems that mgcld is ok. Now check the license availability using the following command.

mgls_ok designarch.

mgls_ok for designarch_c returns

mgcld OUT: "designarch_c" root@...
mgcld OUT: "falconfw_s" root@...
license granted through "designarch_c"
mgcld IN: "designarch_c" root@...

Hi,

it seems that the license server is up and running.
Now the problem must be in the client side. Make sure you set the LM_LICENSE_FILE variable to point to the license file you are using in the terminal you run da_ic from.

LM_LICENSE_FILE must be the path to license.dat or equal to 1717@host ??
I've tried the too solutions but Ifind the same problem :

and nothing happens in the lmgrd terminal.

LM_LICENSE_FILE must point to the license file you are using not the 1717 port.
This variable must be set on both the license server and the client.

What version are you using of the flow?

In fact, even when I change the LM_LICENSE_FILE, I have the sae problem,
It seems thats there is no connection between the server and the client.

I'm installing ICFlow version 2004.3.

The problem was that i've not available license for da_ic.
My licnese works only with da.
