I have seen in many research articles about diode connected MOS as level shifter. How diode connected mos used as level shifter. Can some one help me I am new to this field of IC design.
Yes, but the "diode" is more like "along for the ride"
and the current source above, sink below do all the
work.
It's likely that a source follower and another load
will be a superior level shift in many cases (due to
high Zin, low Zout attributes as many level shifts
want more drive capability and can't take it from
the gain-stage limited current bias).
