talking electronics have a good display using pic 16f628.it has six buttons for up,down,left,right,store and delete.check it out.www.talkingelectronics.com.or just google talking electronics.com.all the best.
 

Its a well plan online tutorials on message display with practical analysis for beginners and experience pic programmers.
