keyboard working of my project..?

hey everyone..
i m making a project named automatic college bell..
well i am attaching the circuit and my project image..

can anyone explain how my keyboard will work? because i have taken switches not keypad...
what will be there in display when i press any of the key..
PLEASE its quite urgent...

there is a program too but after all i finished shouldering and inserted codes too but still my project is not working...!! :-(
help me out....
attaching the program too...

tell me how i can set the alarm and all that.. i can't understand anything....:-(
