Hello All,

I need the JTAG Connector pin-out, This 10 pin JTAG connector will be used to program a Xilinx Spartan-3A FPGA.

I was checking a old schematic design I find a 10 Pin JTAG connector with the follwing pin-out: pin1: TCk,Pin2: Gnd,Pin3: TDI,Pin4: Gnd,Pin5: TMS,Pin6: 3.3V,Pin7: TDO, Pin8: NC, Pin9: TRST, Pin10:3.3V.

I checked also another 10 pin JTAG pinout I find that pin3: TDO (not TDI like the first one), and pin7:TDI (not TDO).

My question: is the JTAG pin-out (interface) Standard? or a 10 pin JTAG connector can have different pin-out?

No there are no standards for JTAG connectors! There are some de-facto standards from various major players on the market such as KEIL, ALTERA, XILINX etc.
