JPEG2000 is different from JPG. I'm not sure in what ways.
I have a graphics editor that includes both of them individually in its list of graphics formats. So they may be different enough that you ought to stay with JPG, since it is more commonly seen, for instance, in the list of graphics formats handled by Paint.

i speak about choose the MSc thesis subject.
do you think can i implement JPEG(NOT 2000) on FPGA as regards i have not enough time.
BTW,i must read data from pc through PCI Express bus and then send back to it.
