Is Allegro PCB Design Planner option the same as PCB Designer?

Can someone please enlighten me on whether the Allegro pcb design Planner option a
Layout tool for routing and placement?
It seems more like a PCB SI tool than a routing tool?
Pcb designer is a tool that I should get for placement and routing right if I already have the
Allegro Design Entry CIS and Allegro Design Entry HDL - XL?

Hi,
For Schematic creation you can use ,Orcad capture, or capture CIS.or Desin entry HDL(here only you can set constraint )
for layout design you can use Allegro GXL it consist all application like module creation and all constraint setting .XL and lower version have limited applications.for simple design u can use orcad designer.

What you asking is two people working on same card,,,,? you can take sub drawing of that ....using xl or lower version also..
