You want to give some thought to -which- IR source
will activate your relay, and how to make sure the wrong
ones don't. Making an "anything works" controller is the
easy part.
A HF AC waveform and a frequency detector can let you
do things like rejecting sunlight and 60Hz lighting. At the
cost of some added componentry.
I want an IR activated relay switch for home security purposes. I want that once the IR is interrupted, the relay closes for at least 3 minutes or so. Will it work without microcontoller?
I got this diagram from google but I guess the circuit can only activate the relay for a few seconds. Am I right?
