I am learing mismach now. But I am confused with 6 terms:
inter-die vs intra-die mismatch, systematic vs random and process only and mismatch only in monte carlo simualtion
.
What is the difference and relationship between these three terms?
Re: inter-die mismatch vs. systematic mismatch vs. monte car
Hi,
inter-die vs intra-die mismatch is easy to understand.
Intra die mismatch is the mismatch between two dies which are actually expected to be similar.
Inter die mismatch is the mismatch between the components of the die for example two AND gates which are actually expected to be similar but show a mismatch.
The word mismatch can be interchanged with variation.
The variations can be systematic and random. both of them are because of manufacturing issues.
The systematic variation can be calculated (determined) and prevented.
Random variation can also be prevented but cannot be determined.
Pl read the following book for more details. Thanks
