Hello All. I understand the difference of Insulation and Isolation...But my question is...can I use insulation tester to do the isolation test like in power supply? Thanks.

I think, the terms isolation tester and insulation tester are both describing the same kind of instruments and used by turns.

I think insulation test is meant to give an actual quantitative resistance measurement at low potential. Isolation test is more about finding the potential at which leakage current surpasses some predefined limit. Both can be done with a simple hipot tester, assuming the meters are accurate.
