Hi. I would like to build some timer-based mechanism which opens a tray after a presetted time, dropping a given amount of material from a container. Could someone help me with some hints? Thanks in advance. Regards.

What you need to do is to write an algorithm or a "program" listing all the steps required to accomplish your task. Right from switching the gadget on to switching it off. Once you done this then you can decide what electronic blocks you need to build, then come back here.
