Power factor correction

Hi,
Maybe this is novice question, but i'm MCU system designer, and i need information about power factor corrector devices. Well i saw in one PSU chip L6561 that is driving MOSFET and it is used as switching PSU that works from 85-250 VAC. But i can not understand where is power factor corrected with this device. It is used as switching PSU controller.
Please anyone help me to demistify this!
Best Regards,
Sime
