I am looking for some document on optical fiber interface, so far I do not have much information about.

If anyone knows any documents of link , please let me know it will be very useful.

Thanks in advance

Communications companies use fiber optics a great deal. However they would rather keep their technology a secret.

Do you wish to make a homemade interface? The sending component can be an led. Place it against the fiber end. Secure them with tape.

At the receiving end can be a phototransistor or photodiode.

For long distances you may want to send with a laser diode.

If you are sending one signal then it can be digital (on-off) or analog.
If many signals (many channels), then they must be analog (sinewaves).
