Inductor Difference?

Hi friends,
I''m making a 5V, 3A power supply using LM2576. The circuit requiers a 100-150uH inductor. There are two types of inductors both 150uH but i don't know which one is proper or if both are OK. I'm attaching photographs of both of them,
please guide me,

Regards,
garg

Inductor Difference?

the powdered iron toroidal core will work fine, it won't saturate, but will have higher loss than a properly gapped ferrite core.

Inductor Difference?

Thanks a lot for replying.
What effects in the performance will occur if this inductor gets saturated?

Regards,
Garg

If the inductor get saturated,it will become the resistance. The ring core inductor is good in emc and emi.
