Hi,
I want to design the inductive proximity sensor which can able to sense a metal at a distance of about 40mm. Anybody is having any circuit for this one. Also it would be good if the circuit does not contain any specific proximity IC's like tca205a and all.

Even any design document could be helpful for me..

Does any body can help me on this...
