I have some questions regarding using a TelsaCoil-ish device to induce a voltage onto 2 plates. The plates are acting as a switch in a circuit and im looking to basically close this switch from a distance:

Is it possible to induce a voltage from 2 feet away high enough that it will spark a current and complete the circuit?

I think;
You should amplify the induced current to drive any circuit.

I am looking to do this without any modifications to the receiving circuit. (ie. adding windings for a secondary, amplifier etc)

Any one have experience to accomplish this?

Would micro-waves be more appropriate?
