I'm using IE3D v. 14 to simulate a microstrip resonator and to find the current distribution on the resonator. I'm viewing the current in MGRID (as opposed to Curview) since this works well in v14. The surface current density displays in units of A/m but I am not sure about the power incident on the port. A table in the current viewer displays Pinc on Port 1 as 0.01, but no units are shown. Does anybody know what it is? W, mW? Something else?

Also, does anyone have any recommendation about the most appropriate port scheme and matrix solver for this task? My understanding is that Pinc should equal Pin+Pref on each port (my simulation has two). But that equality is off by about 10% and I'm not sure how to gauge if that is reasonable and whether it should be improved. Thanks,

SteveR
