What do you mean daily life?. Like your music player or computer?. FPGAs are most likely used in prototyping systems esp for products using ASIC chips. It helps create and verify their design very soon. However FPGAs are also getting used in many of the testing equipments such as MSOs or GSM or WCDMA network emulators, where FPGA helps to customize the requirements very easily.
FPGA's are used on line cards for DSLAM's (Digital Suscriber Line Access Module) in Central Offices. So when you make a call using a regular telephone, it's thanks to FPGA's.
I would suggest you have a look at the web sites of the major players (Xilinx, Altera, Lattice) and look at their press releases. When they announce partnerships, ... it means they will use a couple of hundreds of thousands of their devices.

ZTE Presents Altera with Global Partnership Award
Lattice Is Recognized As Core Partner By Huawei
Apart from the vague term "daily life" I agree with lucbra. Recently ASICs are superseded in a number of applications by FPGAs, shorter development and updateable functionality are the main reasons. Altera is e.g. targetting with their latest Cyclone V family to high performance mass markets like car multi media or green energy applications.
