hi everyone,

this is my current situation. I need to do pnr but the .lib files are not available. So I try import DEF file, which is export from Virtuoso, to Encounter but I've faced some problems like these:

_ when I imported the DEF file to Encounter, these kind of warning occur and the Encounter layout contains almost nothing

**WARN: (ENCDF-200): Instance I383 is not found in db and ignored.

If this is a physical-only instance, it should have '+ SOURCE DIST' attribute.
_ So I exported DEF with flattened layout, but there is nothing in DEF this time.

I've searched a lot but still can't find the answer.

I'm new with Encounter so please teach me a lot.

Sorry for my bad English and thank you in advance.

check encounter commands - loadLefFile, loadDefFile
Make sure you load tech-lef first (must), then load all cell-lefs - then only load the DEF, make sure all dependencies are loaded.
