Design areactive L network in order to provide impedance matching between transmission line of Zo = 300 + j60 and an antenna having impedance of 80 +j100 at the frequency of 1MHz.
How do design this circuit? My professor told me that while designing L impedance matching circuit we need to make the shunt arm parallel with the one with the largest impedance either Load resistance or source resistance and then solve the Zi. I did and the equation that comes is X2 = (RL(RS-RL))^1/2 and X3 = Rs(RL/(Rs-Rl)^1/2 As far as I know we can't include that value of reactance from load or source here. Reactance in the load can be added to the series arm what about the source reactance? What do I do with it? Do I simply calculate without the reactances?
