Impact of Load Current - Load Resistance

Hi,

I am designing a chip which has rectifier, regulator and 2 other blocks.
While simulating in cadence as an individual blocks, I started simulating rectifier as stand alone circuit.
So, how to select Load resistance? If I increase load resistance, the dc vol across load also increases.
How about Load current?
Whats the impact of load current?
How to select an optimal value of load resistance?
What are the pros n cons if I select either low load resistance or high load resistance?
How it will impact other subsequent stages?
 

Your questions indicate that you are designing a complex IC without any specifications. Get specifications, from them you must derive the quantities you now ask for. Do you know Ohm's Law?
