[SOLVED] IGBT ganged pulse current handling

Do ganged IGBTs have a greater pulsed current handling ability? Another words 2 ganged parts capable of 5 amps each would be able to handle 10 amps nominally, is this the case?
 

You want to study the IGBT datasheet e.g. about VCE(on) tolerances which determine current sharing in parallel circuit.

Short answer = yes, long answer is that the wiring needs to be symmetric as does the gate drive, heat-sinking needs to be the same, ideally close to each other, and the Von should go up with temp for long term sharing ...
