Hi,I am a student and new to IE3D.I need help in design steps for the following figure.

I have attached the file for design. I have gone through the manual but could not Design.

Thanks

Hi, Goli:

Please do the following:

Enter 3 vertices for your L-shaped probe. For example, you enter the No.1 vertex touching the gnd at (0,0,0). The 2nd vertex above it for the bending point at (0,0,1). The 3rd verex at the end of the L-shaped probe at (3,0,1). You can use INPUT->CREATE AND EDIT VERTICES command to create or use mouse and the layer window to create them.

After you create them, please select ADV EDIT->BUILD WIRE PATH. Please check the "No.1 (x,y,z)=(0,0,0)" so that it becomes "No.1 (x,y,z)=(0,0,0) with Forward Directed Port". Select OK and it will build the L-probe with port for you.

Regards,
