hi,
i'm designing a rf-power-amplifier and i want to get the CP1 depending on the output impedance of my amplifier. so i did a pss hb sweep over my input power. when i do this simulation and vary my output impedance manually for every simulation i get correct results for my CP1. but when i put a variable for the load impedance into my port at the amplifiers output and do a parametric sweep over the output impedance variable together with the pss hb simulation, i get CP1 values which are much higher than those i get when i vary the output impedance manually. the CP1 values also rise together with my impedance but at some maximum the CP1 should drop when i increase my output impedance. but it doesn't.
why isn't a pss hb simulation not working with a paramtric sweep for a port impedance?
it also doesn't work when i sweep my output impedance of my output port as a second sweep in the pss hb simulation.
i plot the CP1 curves for the output "PORT(fixed R)". is cadence perhabs not able to see the variation of the impedance when my variable is in a port that i choose to plot the results for?
