Ic p926 or b729 please i need the function or data sheet of it

Hi

i have an IC Fixed to a board it has 2 number the first one P926 the second one has b729 did anyone knows about the function of this IC and if there is an alternative IC for replacement

Hai ralraii... I have also searched a lot in the net but cudn't find it... I have also seen it in the vehicle tracker your picture corresponds to, but NOT understanding the function of P926, so that at least I can replace the chip from the dead tracker. My chip's part number is P926 B045.
Do let me know incase u find any fact regarding this chip...

The chip is L6926D from STmicroelectronics. Its a Buck regulator that can convert voltages in the range of 2.7V-5.5V to as low as 0.6volts. In your application (vehicle tracker, as shown in the attached picture), it is converting 5volts to 4volts for the GSM module. Incase you are unable to find the datasheet, i will attach the same for you... :)
