i want to build a robot cleaner.

i want to build a robot cleaner that is programmed to use sprinkler, floor polisher, and vacuum but i don't where to start. i don't know the computations on how to choose a right motor for floor polisher as well.. can you give me a hint and help me how it must be done? thanks.. ^_^

how can I get the specs of battery and dc motor that we are going to use in my robot? what are the formula to get those specs? Thanks.
