Hello,

I have to use hspice to simulate my inverter. The schematic is ready.
The requirement is tphl= tplh ( approx).
the aim is to fix the size of nmos and find the size of pmos for which this is achieved,
but i do not know how to use the hspice to do this.
can anyone kindly guide me regarding this.

Many thanks..

Make a parametric analysis, a loop in which the pMOS dimensions are changing.

hi thanks for the reply,

I went through the parametric analysis .but since i am new to these tools, it would be helpful if i get a document which explains step by step procedure...

many thanks..

In many simulators you may use a sweep or step analysis. I like the C-like syntax of the Nutmeg in Spice3f. In HSpice, as I have found, you may use a very flexible ".DATA" statement with some parameters defined by you. Here is a link to HSpice documentation:

There are many examples...

An example for hspice
.dc sweep para 1 2 0.1
