How can I use parameters for node names?

I want to add resistor and change location.

In my schematic, there is Node A, B, C, D and i want to connect resistor A to B onetime.
And next B to C, and next C to D.

log >> syntax error at or before "str" "(" "NODE_P" ")" "str" "(" "NODE_N" ")" "100"

input file >>
.DATA node_table
+ NODE_P NODE_N
+ str('A') str('B')
.ENDDATA

RR00 str(NODE_P) str(NODE_N) 100 $[RP]

I don't know HSPICE but have never seen variable
connectivity as a SPICE feature.

Closest I've come it to use either switch elements
or a plurality of variable-value resistors to "effectively"
alter the topology. Then alterparam to get the
low Z, high Z configuration of interest for whatever
condition you like.
