Is it possible that it senses your fan drawing overmuch current? So it shuts it off?

As a test, try putting a resistor in the wire which carries power to the fan.

--------------------------------

I frequently hear my laptop's fan revving up.

After some seconds it often goes quiet again. I don't know whether it is running slowly at that time, or whether it is stopped.

What about power shortage? Maybe your AC is faulty and it simply does not have enough power?

Hello @yuganta ,
If you succeeded in repairing it then please share the solution.
