USB and PCIe are both serial communication protocols. USB perhaps is a bus protocol whole PCIe is a point-to-point protocol.
I can see that both have a stack structure divided into layers and use packet transfer. In the detailed technical level, how would you compare USB and PCIe in terms of their actual structure and how they work? e.g both have physical layers, both send NAK packets, what else???
I only know snippets and need a person who knows both to tell me briefly how the two can be compared. Would knowing 1 of them well help a person to understand the other well also?
