LM358 as a comparator

Hi,
I want to use LM358 IC as comparator. But the difference between two vale is .1v range.
Also I want to detect the output of the LM358 by PIC.
Is this IC is suitable. If not give me more suggetions and details

Thanks...

For Some application using OP-Amp as comparator can be a good choice for others it may not be.
It depends on application. Can you tell me what is your application?

For microcontrollers application where it is to be detected by MCU a comparator is best choice for their performance vs op-amp as comparator.

Yoy might want to review your idea and consider using LM311,LM393, or (their are a lot of them).

LM311 is high performance and very friendly and is a voltage comparator.

Why don't you use the internal comparator from microcontroler?. I don't know what PIC are you using, but the PIC16F628 internal comparator has <10mV offset.
