Hi
I would like to ask that. Usually i found the diode model can be respect by resistance and capacitance. Since diode is a non-linear device. the impedance characteristic is vary with the biasing voltage. so it mean the the S-parameter also vary with the biasing voltage? When i want to test the S-parameter of a diode without any biasing circuit. Do i need to consider the power use by the network analyzer during the testing?

Re: diode S-parameter

S-paramater datasheet of a diode contain the bias current (and sometimes the bias voltage) of the measurement. Here is an example:

! Alpha Industries, Inc. Small-Signal Device S-Parameters
! Dec-09-94
! Part Number: SMS1043
! Description: Single Schottky Diode
! Application: Mixer Pair for Wireless Applications
! Bias Voltage (V) = 0
! Bias Current (mA) = 0
