How to test if a flash chip is ok?

i want to test some flash chip, these flash cann't work right, i program the flash and read the flash, but the whole flash is A7E7, it isn't my program file's content.
how should i do to determine if the flash is good or not?

which chip u r using . it support SPI protocal .can u give the part number

how to test a flash?

Without reading the data sheet for the part, you may be reading a status register, or some other type of register.
