verilog ams tutorial

Hi,
How to simulate Verilog-AMS, please?
Can hspice 2007 simulate it, please?
Does any free software can do that?
Does anyone have simple tutorial to learn how to use Mentor AMS? The user guide of it is too complex.

:D:D:D

Thank you!

Best regards!

verilog-ams tutorial

Of course!!! Not only hspice 2007 can did it but also spectre.

hsp-vacomp

U actually shud depend on userguide..... u cant put money on other stuff ...lol

verilog-ams compiler

Thank you for your reply, shaq.
But what wrong with my hspice when I simulated a verilog-A file, it showed like that:

** error **
During Verilog-A Device processing:
CML file does not exist
'C:\Documents and Settings\GAOM9\hsp-model-cache\1.40\e\\test\verilog-a\verilog-a_element_library_hspice_test\\lib.win32\VECVSpwl_test.cml'

My file contains .sp file and .va file, what wrong with it? and how to handle it?

Thank you
Best regards

How about uploading your verilog-a code or PM to me?

I need to see the code to ensure what the problem is.

verilog ams linux

Thank you!
The files I have upload here, and it is an example of internet, I think there will be no mistake of it.
and what is 'hsp-vacomp'?
The val file shows like below (a part of it):
hsp-vacomp: lic: Using FLEXlm license file: hsp-vacomp:
lic: No such feature exists hsp-vacomp: Feature:
lic: Unable to checkout hspiceva hsp-vacomp:

Is something wrong with my lic of hspice, is it not of the feature of simulate verilog-a and verilog-ams?

Thank you!
Best regards!

hsp-vacomp is verilog-a compiler.

From the message I saw, you didn't have verilog-a feature.
Check out your license file, if you cannot find the feature name which is named for "hspiceva" you cannot use hspice to compile the verilog-a file.

verilog-ams

Thank you, shaq.
My hspice in windows has not this feature.
I try it in Linux, it worked. The simulation of verilog-a can be made in it, but I have not try verilog-ams.
Both of them is version 200703.

hspice verilog-ams

I doubt that Hspice can run verilog-ams.
But I'm sure it's capable of verilog-a

hspice veriloga how to

I just saw this sentence in hspice_sa.pdf.

"Verilog-A was derived from the IEEE 1364 Verilog Hardware Description
Language (HDL) specification and is intended for describing behavior in analog
systems. The Verilog-A language that HSPICE supports is compliant with
Verilog-AMS Language Reference Manual, Version 2.2, with limitations listed in
Unsupported Language Features on page 761."

hspice version verilog a

HSpice supports Verilog-A , not Verilog-AMS. The AMS part means a digital (logic circuits) simulator kernel is needed to co-simulate. Synopsys has a separate product for that (which I forget the name, since I don't use it...).

Verilog-A is available both in the Windows and Linux versions, at least in the latest release.
