i am using a step down transformer -> a 5v converter->voltage divider which is giving 2.5 v and later considering it as a logic1.is this procedure correct
Use a step down transformer & bridge rectifier to convert it to dc voltage,
then adjust to output of the potentiometer to about say, 4 volts DC for 230 volts AC.
This way the output of the potentiometer will vary along with the generator voltage.
You can easily connect an ADC to measure the output of the potentiometer.
example:
AC voltage = potentiometer output x 230 / 4
