How to Run C application on MC 8051 design using Xilinix isim.

Hi, I want to run some C applications on my MC 8051 Design. It would take a binary file of a C application as an input, right? How can I get this binary?

1) By using an MC 8051 compiler...
2) converting the binary to a mif file (for simulation)
3) create a ROM in the test bench to load the mif file into
4) run sim

Thanks, Which compiler do you think best suites MC 8051 for this purpose?

Don't know, never compiled code for an 8051. I'd suggest just picking one randomly (or the first one that shows up in a google search).
