digital gate count estimation

one inverters = 1 gate ?

how to estimate gate count

4 transistors = 1 gate !

estimate gate count

Is it not the gate count is based on the number of CMOS used to implment the logic circuit?????if no then give me reason!!!

Accordin to me for inverter 1 CMOS --- so 2 gates.......

Re: how to roughtly estimate gate counts in digital circuits

the gate count mainly depends on the implementation... even having the function of the digital circuit you cannot be sure of the gate count because the same function can be implemented in different ways... also universal are tried to be used as much as possible but in some they implement AND and then NOT for NAND and there what will you take the count as 2 or 1....
